Silver rings at Foley's / North Star Mall, Foley's May Department

I would just like to say that over the years this store has done very well for me, But lately, it has been quite scary.

My complaint is that I was accused of returning a ring they said didn't belong there. Last August 2004, I was given 40 dollars for my birthday, I decided to buy a ring with it. I went shopping at Foley's with the money and soon saw the perfect ring. The gem was fake, but it was beautiful. It was in the Jewelry showcase and it was labeled as Sterling Silver.

It was a silver ring with 4 fake diamonds on the side and a huge lab created pink gem in the middle. It was just my size, size 8. And it was on sale for $24.99. I was excited so I decided to buy it. Being the smart woman that I am, I kept my receipt, just in case. Well, low and behold, after a few days of wearing it, I saw that it was not Silver indeed. Instead it was that cheap type of metal that looks worn-off and makes a ugly brown color.

I was mad so I decided to take it back. I explained to them that it was not Sterling silver as indicated and that I would like my money back. Well would you believe they had the nerve to tell me that they don't sell those rings! "Oh no, we don't have that kind here! Those don't belong in our store, they came from somewhere else!" And I, there like an idiot with a receipt in front of me trying to win....I could have had a heartattack..... I couldn't believe what my ears were hearing!

I could describe the sales lady, she was very tall, african-american and she spoke with a heavy Jamacian accent. The other sales lady had her badge on, her name was Sabucco or something like that.

What a shame for Foley's to do that to me. Fortunately, I had a friend, an associate upstairs that was able to do the return for me. But honestly, I shouldn't have had to....Shame on you Foley's at North Star!!
