carfax incorrect information posted on report

I have been unable to resolve the below problem any advise will be greatly appreciated

I have all ready contacted the State DMV. The State stated that it is your error. Carfax requested information on the car and the state sent you the information from the title.

I will be glad to send you a copy of the orginal title and the date it was issued 03-02-2001 with the exact milage at that time that carfax published in 10/29/03 ( 2 1/2 years later) I don't feel that i should have to go though the expense to pay for a title history Nor will the state or can the state explain the nature of the error as it was carfax that made the error and did not include that it obtained old info to put on their report The state does not update mileage on cars till the title is renewed and I have no reason to renew this title.

I will however find the proper people to handle this matter if I need to as this is the was not my error and Carfax is negligent with the infromation it recieved.

I will send you the title and I expect this matter to be taken care of pronto
