Dear complaints,

 

I got my worst ever experience in customer service, when my three-month old (Motorola V66) cell phone’s display cracked. To this day I still have proof the phone had no outside damage. T-Mobile wanted to charge me for repair despite a 12 month warranty. I refused to accept, but they charged my credit card anyway without my authorization. After about 15 hours of phone conversations with sometimes rude customer service reps, and threatening to disconnect all my three phone lines, I finally got a manager who said will “forgive” the charge.

 

The credit they gave me was clearly marked on my monthly bill, but they doctored the statement to such extent that the credit amount never made it into the “Payment due” area. Despite having paid all my monthly service fees properly, I still owed them the repair charge after having been “credited back.” It wasn’t over yet. A second phone cracked the same way, but I kept it as proof to show the crack is from inside and shows no outside physical damage as they claimed with the first. Unfortunately, I asked for a replacement before things escalated. At the end, I documented almost 30 hours spent on the phone arguing with T-Mobil about the credit that never made it, I had my service disconnected three times (once in the middle of a snow storm), for non-payment of the amount I got a credit for, and got charged $30.00 for reconnecting the service without having requested it. I ended up canceling the service on the two phones with expired contracts and reduced to minimum the sole remaining one. And it was still not over yet. On my last bill, I got hit with a late payment despite my bank having paid the bill 5 days before the due date. A few months ago I found out they even disconnected their own spoke-person Jan Ullrich’s service for non-payment, who’s monthly fees was supposed to be covered by T-Mobil. What a shame!!! What a disaster T-Mobil is... I can’t wait for my remaining contract to expire. They’ll never hear from me gain afterward. Sincerely,
