Charter Communications - St Louis MO

I am so incredibly disgusted with Charter. When I first signed up for Internet service, I signed up for the basic pkg that was $29.99/mo. I asked if there was any fine print, etc and I was told "no" that the service would be $29.99 (plus the start fees, etc).

I think my first bill was for $29.99 and then it went up after that. I called and complained and it didn't do any good. So, basically, if you want their service, you will pay whatever they feel like charging you when you get the bill. I've been watching my bills and they went up all the way to $39.99/mo and then down to $34.95/mo and then towards the end of last year (I checked my check register), back down

to $29.99. Then I stopped receiving bills.

For SIX MONTHS, I kept two post office boxes in order to get all my mail forwarded from the old one to my new one. Every other creditor had no problem changing my address - everyone except Charter. I completed the change of address on the back of the billing statement for six months and they didn't change my address. Finally I closed the old post office box.

A couple of months later, I started receiving automated phone calls from Charter. I called them and told them that I had requested a change of address for SIX MONTHS and that this was ridiculous and I would mail a payment when I finally received a bill. I gave the guy my new address and supposedly he made the change in the computer. Eventually I received a late bill and cut them a check.

Then it happened again. I went a couple of months without receiving a bill, started getting automated calls, called Charter and told the girl the whole story about how I requested a changed of address, told her my new address, and eventually cut them a check when I got a late notice. I just received a bill to my new address - nearly 10 months after originally requesting a change of address. What is wrong

with these people? Oh, and the monthly charge is $39.99/mo. This is garbage and they shouldn't be allowed to charge whatever they want when you sign up at a particular rate.
