I believe i have been a victim of the hidden charges scheme. Well that's not mainly my complaint right now. I have been offered a Rogers AT&T wireless thru a telemarketing company last February with a promise of first month free... blah blah blah.... sooo it got me sooooo confused, i was actually thinking i got the whole first month free! So thinking it was a good deal, i got two, on a family plan. Imagine my surprise with my first month billing!!!

 

So i called customer service if i could return it, (the bill came already, so it was over thirty days) so, they told me i couldnt coz its days after thirty days. this thirty days condition should nout be applicable in this case because its not the junky cellphone im complaining about.. but the billing.. i didnt realize they were going to charge me this much!!! But then i discovered they overcharged me, i asked for an adjustment last may..

 

they adjusted it a little bit. But still not fully understanding why the charges is still not the way i understood it to be. So i sent them a letter requesting to cancell my services and requested them to send me my final bill with the adjustments and other charges.. that was first week of july. Now i got a bill up to september. They didnt cancel it, they are going to charge me till september 26 for both phones that i havent been using since the first of July. I have to pay over $300 plus $400 just to have my 2 lines cancelled. Why didn't they wrote me a letter with the bill last july (since im not available thru phone most of the times.. i work 8am-9pm) stating that they would not cancell my services until i have paid my balance. i would have paid my bill right then.

 

But instead they just send me more bills. I finally got time to use my phone at work (which i usually don't) And thats when they told me their usual... "we cant do anything about it.... the bill is legitimate... you have to pay... Or well theres going to be damage on your credit" last lines not exact but thats how it sounds. They were talking to me as if i was seeking a way to get out of my bill. That was not the case.. For Rogers AT&T's information... i was waiting for my bill adjustment which they couldnt do.. thats why i didnt pay my bill yet.. And now... they are going to make me pay till september? Why couldn't they write me a letter last june? or July?

 

What's wrong with this "reliable" big Company? im thinking of filing a complaint to the BBB too. Their hidden charges scheme is not even the issue anymore. it's the latter that's well beyond my comprehension. Why didn't they write me a letter informing me that they couldn't cancell my services until my balance is paid?!!!
