My wife and I expressed an interest in a TV Armoire at this store in the Woods Mill Mall. Before we purchased, a young man in his mid-to-early teens (he worked there and seemed to be related to the proprietor) informed us that a similar one would be sent from their warehouse.
The owner, Ron, asked when I would like it shipped. I asked if it could be sent that day and he said yes. Ron said that it would be delivered in less than 2 hours by a professional delivery service, so we rushed home. We called three times and were told different stories each time, mostly along the lines of failure on the part of the delivery service and that they brought too large a truck. The delivery eventually came 3 hours late by way of a chevy blazer. The teenager accompanied the driver, so obviously it was not a professional delivery service.
The Armoire was crammed into the blazer and it was damaged with nicks and was the floor model. Furthermore, the doors now sag because of the cramming into the blazer. The only response from Ron upon my complaining was an offer to repair the damage. He no longer returns my call about repairing the armoire. My complaints... I was told I was buying a new piece of furniture and got instead a floor model. I paid $45 for a professional delivery service and didn't get that.
The unit arrived late and was damaged (I have a blazer myself and could have picked it up myself in my own time to prevent mishandling. However I new it wouldn't be of adequate size). The unit was assembled incorrectly (shelves were wrong). I offered to accept repairs and planned on attempting later to address the total quality of service but now I am being ignored. I contacted the BBB and the owner only bothered to respond to a few of my complaints and disputing all of my claims. These folks are unethical scam artists.
