305-539-6401 - For the past month, I have been receiving fax calls to my telephone line, a different number from my fax line. So, when I pick up the phone, I get the beep sound of a fax machine trying to connect. The number on my caller ID is 305-539-6401.

A fax dialing phone number...

For the past month, I have been receiving fax calls to my telephone line, a different number from my fax line. So, when I pick up the phone, I get the beep sound of a fax machine trying to connect. The number on my caller ID is 305-539-6401.

The calls come almost daily and at all hours of the day and night, but are particularly irritating when the phone rings at 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00 in the morning.

Using 411.com and Reverse Phone, I leaned the it is a Miami, Florida based number and the registered carrier is Bellsouth Telecomm, Inc. I called Bellsouth and they would give me no information. I called my carrier, Cincinnati Bell, and got instructions to try this the next time I got a call from the 305 number: "Pick up the phone, dial my own number twice, hang up and leave the phone off the hook for ten minutes."

I tried that and later the same day I got yet another call from 305 number. Does anyone have any suggestions for what to do stop this?
