Futurama Home - delivery / cancellation problems Futurama Home, located in Westchester County in New York, has terrible customer service and poor delivery service. Earlier this year we purchased bedroom set. Everything except for bed (headboard, sides, etc.) arrived on time. However, on the date that the delivery was to arrive, the drivers of the delivery truck called and did not have directions to our home. They were also unable to speak or understand clear english, so we were on the phone with them for a half hour trying to navigate them to our home. The bed was estimated to arrive on Sept 24, 2004, two months from the date of order. It did not arrive on time. When we tried to cancel the bed because we'd had enough of the waiting, they told us that we'd have to pay a 30% charge for returning it. But we'd never even gotten it!
The store clerks don't pick up the phone, so I continued to call and just let it ring until someone finally picked up. When I spoke with the store representative, he was unprofessional, and actually called me "babe." I would not recommend this store to anyone. The staff is rude, and the entire process has been a nightmare. When our first batch of furniture arrived I looked at the deliver notes from other deliveries they had that day. Not a single one was without some sort of problem.
