I purchased a Sears Kenmore washer and bought the extended warranty on it. The warranty is good until August, 2005. I called Sears repair service to schedule a repair on Sept. 11. They told me they would send someone out on Sept. 17 between 1 and 5 in the afternoon.

At 4:45 on Sept 17, I called the repair service again and found out they had rescheduled the repair for Sept. 23. The repairman had never called me to tell me he wasn't coming. He simply rescheduled for Sept. 23. I had to use the laundromat and pay $20.00 to wash clothes for the week.

On Sept. 23 we waited again between the hours of 1:00 and 5:00 and again there wasn't any repairman. We called Sears again and found out we were rescheduled for today, Sept. 29, between the hours of 1:00 and 5:00. So, once again I had to go to the laundromat and spend $20.00 to wash our clothes.

I took off work to stay home on the 29th since there was no one I could call to stay here to wait for the repairman. Again there was no call, we had to call the repair dept. to find out, once again, that we had been rescheduled. Every time I call the repair dept. and ask whether we can be compensated for the laundromat bills, they tell me no.

When I ask if they will reimburse me for the extended warranty (that I haven't used yet) they tell me no. I just don't know where to go with this at this point. I've spent hours on the phone with Sears and am stonewalled at every turn. If they would just send me the money I paid for the warranty, I could use it to get my washer fixed.
