Vero Beach, Florida 32961-6147 On August 30th 2004 I was approached on the University of Iowa Campus by a young man named Chuck with the ID number 3575, claiming he was a communications major from UCLA taking part in a magazine sales contest with other students in his area of study. Though I had never had a subscription before, he had me convinced it was a great deal, and I wanted to help him out. So I bought two magazine subscriptions and I paid him in cash.

Not long after I made the order, I called the customer service number printed on the receipt so that I could change the address to which the magazines would be sent. It took days to receive even an answering system, and after I left a message I didn’t receive a response for several days. The customer service rep left me a message saying she had no record of any order matching my name and the purchase number on my receipt.

I have tried calling back numerous times only to receive a busy signal, or a recording saying “The number you have called can not be reached and you’re now going to be disconnected.” I don’t know what to do, I would like to either receive my $60 back or at least some assurance that my order was received and an exact date when I will receive my first issue. Does anyone know what I can do? Please help. Amber
