Ariston dishwasher Dear Sirs
I purchased an Ariston dishwasher AS100 on 15 June 2002. No complaints till last Saturday when I telephoned to make an appointment for a repair. I took out an extended coverplan - I do not know why I bothered. The lady I spoke to said that I would have to wait till Monday to make an appointment and they would telephone me....
I phoned and after a while got thru to be told they would come on the Friday between 8.00 am and 6 p.m. The day came and went. This morning I telephoned again on 3 separate occasions and eventually they said somebody would come between 12.30 and 6.00 p.m.
At 5 minutes after 6, I telephoned, waited 10 minutes to get thru to be told that I should hold on as they would look into the matter. 4 minutes later the line went dead....
I re-telephoned, waited a further 10 minutes only to be told that an engineer had come on the Friday at 9.59 a.m. - I was most definitely at home and that he had come again today at 12.16 p.m. I had rushed home to be back in time and had been talking to my brother at my front gate at 12.05 and then went in doors, to wait yet again.
I have been informed they cannot make another appointment for me as the matter has to be put to some managerial team!!!! to discuss the situation.
I was persuaded to take the extended coverplan at the time of purchase of the machine. I could have had the dishwasher repaired the same day if I had not stupidly relied on your company to fulfil an obligation that I had paid for.
I want the money for the coverplan fee refunded in full and I can then get my own repair man to come and fix the machine.
Out of interest, does the engineer who supposedly came get paid for the call out even if he does not do the job. If so, he is on to a good thing, getting paid for driving around and doing nothing.
I look forward to the decency of an early reply.
