Ordered some in stock bedroom furniture - beds, chest or drawers and matching wardrobe at end of August.
Complaint 1
Still no matresses 25 days later - estimated delivery time 1 week, website this could be two weeks. When I phoned to complain they said, "it is quite normal for matresses to be deliverd later than the beds".
Complaint 2
The wardrobe was delivered when I was out. When I phoned the number on the card the driver said it could be weeks before they were in my area so I cancelled the order for the wardrobe and matching drawers. They were later delivered by 2 different delivery companies on the day my odd-job person had been hired to put up the bunk beds.
He made up the drawers and wardrobe also but the wardrobe had the wrong size handles. I phoned customer services who said they would send a new handle. I got a letter a few days later saying they couldn't as they were out of stock.
I went on the website and saw that the wardrobes were still in stock and asked if I could have one out of the box containing the in stock wardrobes. Apparently not. When I tried to cancel the order a very rude assistant said it was up to me to go and find the handles myself from somewhere else. I asked to return the product and she said I couldn't as the wardrobe had been built.
I have contacted the trading standards as I am sure they are not allowed to do this as the product should not have be sent out. The only people who sell this furniture range are the Littlewoods group so I can not trace the manufacturer to get a new handle. The products also do not appear to adhere to any Quality Standard.
