I wonder if you could advise me of my rights in regard to the above three companies.
I have a service agreement with Currys, coverplan product care, covering my television. It states: "If we can't repair your TV on our first visit and it has a screen size over 17 inches, a loan set is available upon request until the repair is completed by phoning hte helpline. The loan set will be a 20 inch TV."
On Monday, an engineer called to repair my 32inch TV, and found it would have to be repaired at the manufacturers.
I phoned the helpline 08701 541541 and requested a loan set. I was told they did not have any and there was a long waiting list for the sets they did have.
I quoted the agreement to them, but they have refused to fulfill it.
I also complained to Coverplan Customer Services, on 08700 600 1550 and was told there was nothing they could do.
I can live without a TV for a few weeks, but it irritates me that huge companies like this can charge 𧵬 for extended cover based on promises they have no intention of fulfilling. I do not expect I am the only person affected.
Could you advise me if there is any action you, or anyone else can take for this apparent breach of contract?
