General Electric model WJSR2070B - On 9/12/02 I purchased a General Electric model WJSR2070B at Home Depot. On 9/11/04 a repair man told us the washer is shot. Transmission gone and motor on it's last leg. Per my phone conversation with GE they will only cover the cost of the transmission.

On 9/12/02 I purchased a General Electric model WJSR2070B at Home Depot. On 9/11/04 a repair man told us the washer is shot. Transmission gone and motor on it's last leg. Per my phone conversation with GE they will only cover the cost of the transmission.

The labor and motor parts will cost more than the machine. End result....buy a new washer. We have not abused our machine, have only 3 people in our home and have no teens using the machine. I feel a product of such should certainly last more that 2 years.

The repair man sent by GE also mentioned the matching dryer is soon to go also. I will never purchase another GE product. BEWARE. Disappointed consumer,
