American Blind and Wallpaper / decoratetoday.com After seeing several wallpaper patterns labeled "discontinued" on their website, I decided to place a phone order so that I could first check the availability of a pattern I wanted. I was told by the phone representative that the pattern I wanted was available, and then I proceeded to place an order. The next day, I received a confirmation email stating that the factory would be shipping my order within the next business day, and that I should expect the order to be delivered by UPS within 3-5 business days. I waited 10 business days and did not receive my order. Disgruntled, I called the customer service number and was told that the wallpaper pattern was in fact discontinued, but that they were trying to locate it through other sources. When I asked them why I was told the wallpaper was available when I placed the order, and why did I receive an email saying the order was on it's way, no explanations were given except this phone rep stated that phone reps have no way of knowing if a pattern is available or not. I then asked them to please cancel the order (it had already taken too long) and refund my account. I was told I couldn't - That it looked like one factory "might" be in the process of sending found rolls to me. I was told to wait another week to see if these rolls would in fact show up at my house. The phone rep told me that I could then refuse the shipment and that a refund would be processed to my account within 3-5 days. If no shipment was on its way, I was told this too would be resolved, and that I should expect a refund within 3-5 days. Well, I patiently waited for the UPS man to deliver the wallpaper that never really existed, and then I waited for a month of 3-5 busines days for them to refund my account. Every time you call customer service, you're told to wait another 3-5 days. My account has yet to be refunded. Please be aware that when you place an order with this company, there is no guarantee that the wallpaper you want is available. They will still take your money. And the email they send you is a form letter they send to every customer who places an order. It might say your order is on it's way even if it isn't. And when you wait over a month, and still do not have the wallpaper you ordered, you will have to fight tooth and nail to get a refund. I will no longer use this company.
