Home Depot Employees

Home Depot has some of the worst, unintelligent, rude, employees that I have every met. I live in Coppell, Texas and during September decided to buy some new shrubs for my back yard. I went to Home Depot after picking up two workers to do the work. All of the plants and shrubs were sitting outside of the Home Depot building. I pulled up in front of the store and proceeded to picking out my shrubs. The two workers who do not speak English loaded 5 of the shrubs onto the truck.

A Home Depot employee came out and ask me for my ticket and I told her I had not paid yet because I did not know how many I would buy until I saw how many I could load on my pickup. She told me that I could not load them until I paid and I said okay. I would finish picking out the ones that I wanted and would then gather the rest of my items and then pay out.

She then told me that I had to remove the shrubs from my truck, and I told her that was stupid and told her to call a manager. While she went to call the manager I finished selecting my shrubs and then went inside to get my planting soil, and mulch. When I arrived at the check out another employee was there that started in on me by telling me that I had to unload the shrubs before I could pay for them. I also told him that he was stupid and some other choice names.

Then a third employee comes to join in and tell me that I was parked in a fire zone. I ask her if she was the fire zone police and why she was even speaking to me. By this time I am very mad and upset. The man has identified himself as security and is now telling me that he will just have me arrested for thief. I told him go ahead call the police, he did not call the police and the store manager also had never arrived. I am along and have been gained up on by three employees because my workers have loaded five scrubs on my pickup and I have told the employees how stupid they are.

I then told them forget the sale I would not buy form them. I left my items that I had at the counter and then had the workers to remove the plants. I went back to the store and found the store manager and explained the situation to him and he told me that it was store policy that all plants be paid for before they were loaded, and he was sorry for the confrontation between me and the employees. I ask for the customer service number for Home Depot and drove away. I filed a complaint with Home Depot corporate and they assured me that they would file a formal complaint with the store. I went to another Home Depot and bought my shrubs that same day.

It is now October and I received a letter from the Lewisville court and to my surprise I find that the security guard has filed a thief under $50 charge against me. I called the Lewisville police department and they are telling me that even though I did not take the scrubs, just because my workers loaded them on my truck that was considered thief. I have yet to get the answer from my attorney about this being true, he was to busy getting the paperwork ready for the 1 million dollar lawsuit that he is filing against Home Depot for defamation of character, and the filing of false criminal charges.
