SBC Yahoo DSL Customer Service Nightmare

 

The Situation: I moved from my old house to a newly built home across town, on a newly built street. I simply needed to transfer my DSL service from my old home to my new residence.

What Went Wrong: SBC Yahoo DSL Customer Service is the absolute worst service I have ever had to deal with. I have called over 15x in the last three weeks trying to get DSL service setup at my new residence. Every customer service representative I have spoken with has given me a different story about what needs to happen first in order for the transfer to be complete. Not believing one person I kept calling back, and each time I got a completely different story. Staying calm through the ordeal I finally wait for the day to come when SBC told me my DSL would be up and running. But for some reason I didnt believe them after all the trouble I had already been through. Sure enough, the day comes when I am supposed to have DSL turned on and they tell me it was turned on the day before...so I could of had DSL the day before. Well, not exactly. They do a line test over the phone and discover there is a problem. Now they have to schedule a line-tech to come out and see what the problem is. That will take at least another day. On top of this problem the lady started laughing at me when I told her of my 'had it up to here' frustration level. I made a complaint to a supervisor but somehow doubt anything will be done. I have grown to dispise SBC and everyone that works for them. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with and I am seeking a laywer for my frustration and the constant run-around they have given me. Extremely Frustrated,
