On May 10th of 2004 I placed a 2 year subscription order for the Mens Health magazine through the United Subscription Agency. A young man and woman approached my home and asked that I help him receive financial support in his pursuit of a college education.
My contract stated that delivery of the first issue would be guaranteed within 120 days. Needless to say I have not received a single issue and I have contacted the customer support number (772-563-0308) on numerous occasions. 25 June 2004 - Initial contact to check on status. Joyce confirmed that order was sent to Clearing House 30 June 2004 - I contacted USA. Joyce stated that there was no record of my order with Clearing House.
USA to review order and call me back by 7 July 04 8 July 2004 - I contacted USA. Joyce to follow-up and call me back that afternoon. 9 July 2004 - I contacted USA. Joyce to follow-up and call me back that afternoon. 12 July 2004 - I contacted USA. Joyce to follow-up and call me back that afternoon. Offered to extend my subscription. 21 July 2004 - I contacted USA. Joyce stated that my first issue would be received by 30 August 2004. 30 August2004 - I contacted USA. Joyce to follow-up and call me back that afternoon.
29 September 2004 - I attempted to contact USA. No answer 30 September 2004 - I attempted to contact USA. No answer
1 October 2004 - I contacted USA. Joyce to follow-up and call me back that afternoon. 4 October 2004 - I contacted USA. Joyce to follow-up and call me back that afternoon. 5 October 2004 - I contacted USA - Office Closed - Left voice message for Joyce. The individual that I spoke with, Joyce, is very polite and promises to return your call with your subscription status but has failed to return any of my calls. Apparently Joyce has no conscience and believes it is appropriate to make false promises. I only ask that my magazine subscription be honored or my $28 be returned. However, I have no means to make either of these options happen. The United Subscription Agency and Ms. Joyce need to be stopped. I, like many others, work hard for my money and apparently USA and/or Ms. Joyce is running a reputable operation. May God bless Joyce and help her to find the right path ... taking advantage of others and misleading them with false statements is not appropriate behavior. Needless to say, it has been 5 months & I have not received my magazine. I called the ph #772-563-0308 and it says "the mailbox is full". Wish I would have seen this website before I gave them my check. Aug. 10th made 6mos. since our order was taken. Of course if you call the # now the voice mail box is full. I wonder why? These people have no consciences and are immoral in what they do....STEAL!!! 1 Corinthians 6:10 - "...thieves, greedy people, drunks, slanderers, and robbers will not inherit the kingdom of God." I hope when these people lay their heads down at night after a long and exhausting day of spending money that was STOLEN from hard working people, that the Holy Spirit of God brings upon them so much conviction that they cannot bare. I pray that these people will find the path of God and turn from their evil ways before it's too late...and some day it will be.
