AMERICOR LENDING GROUP Business Practices complaint
AMERICOR LENDING GROUP, in Irvine, CA I used Lending Tree to solicit for mortgage refinance options in April, 2004. Americor responded offering 4.0% fixed/no points 10 year refinance. I accepted their offer, submitted the required paper work in less than 72 hours. We had our house appraised at a cost of $425. Americor's representatives stopped contacting me even when I'd contact them. Suddenly my 4.0% rate was no longer available. They admitted to me that they had forgotten to lock the rate. They have refused to honor our contract and I lost the advantage of refinancing with other companies as all the rates increased. Americor bated me with the Lending Tree option, and even told me that Lending Tree had selected them to handle my loan. Then they switched me and treated me like they could care less about their business practices. All I've wanted and continue to want is the refinance package I accepted and then was not given. I contacted Lending Tree and let them know of my problem with Americor's business practices. I have also been in contact with the local Better Business Bureau and they have submitted my complaint to Americor.
Unfortunately, Americor chose to claim I was slow in filing the required documents to them. This is quite untrue as their own records would indicate. I responded with the required information in less than 72 hours and was told by their representative I''d "have not problem with my rate" In speaking with Management at Americor I was encouraged as she indicated they wanted to help me. To date I have still not been given the rate I contracted for via Lending Tree. It's wrong for a business to mistreat any customer they way Americor has offhandedly treated me. I have email messages from Americor confirming my application, their rates, the timeline, etc. What I need is for someone to help them see the value of integrity and keeping business commitments. Your help would be appreciated. thank you Douglas H Click this link to e-mail the above consumer: // From: Message Author (click here to email author) Date: Wednesday, 06-Oct-04 00:00:00 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This Comment On ThisI am in a very bad loan because of Americor Lending, my loan officer was Travis Vayssie, He misled me about my credit score and I did not get my Truth in lending form until after the closing of the house, and the attorney that I paid told me that he could not answer any of my questions. I am about to lose my home, in which I take care of my elderly mother. I have been searching for help for the past 9 months. PLUS their agents are not backed up by their top management to carry through on promised loans. I was promised closings week after week for months - was even sent a contract for a a 1.25% five year ARM that their agent set-up with Bear Stearns. This agent told me I would not need to pay anymore property taxes of home owners insurance as I would be closed on before the month they would close the refy. After 18 months a mid level Americor manager lied to the LABBB and other agencies I had filed complaints with - Folks I am not the only victim! Mortage Brokers have NO regulations from 2004 to 2007 - that is why there is little recourse to victim - I figure it cost close to 100K to trust their flashie web-site and con-agents! They said they were unable to fund our loan and were trying to find some other lender to help me. So anyway we didn't get to do anything we'd planned and it stressed me out so bad I haven't even wanted to search for another loan, but unfortunately I will still need to move on but have lost all trust in lending companies.
