Clerk checked the Drivers License Number on check to actual Drivers License and what she had indexed on the receipt.

I tried to purchase the subject items. I wrote a check. I was told that my ID was invalid. I produced my Drivers License. Clerk checked the Drivers License Number on check to actual Drivers License and what she had indexed on the receipt. She was satisfied all were the same. The cash register again said "Invalid ID Format". I asked to see a manager.

The "manager" (a lady in a red jacket) said she could not help, that I had to go and call the number listed below. Two other Wal*Mart employees were also listening and they all agreed the I had to go and call this number. My husband paid via credit card for the above items so we would not be putting out your other customers that were in line. This all happened on 10-03-04.

I have written checks to Sams for my prescriptions and not had a problem. I have had this drivers license since I was sixteen I am now 62 that's approx 46 years. I write checks to my mortgage co. Longs, Rite Aid, Albertson's, Ralph's, Relays, Safeway, Penney's, Fashion Bug, Sams and I have written to Wal*Mart. What is the problem.

Do I have a now have credit problem because of this incident? Am I going to have a problem with all of these stores because of you. The embarrassment was horrific. I have NEVER had this problem before. When I called your Number 800-866-0828 9:33am 10-04-05 I had to wait 5 minutes then Shay came on the phone. She said all was clear. WHAT IS OR WAS THE PROBLEM. I have prescriptions at Sams that are in renewal. No problem before, BUT will this now cause a problem and I won't be able to get my medicine. I'm a diabetic and I need this medicine to live.

I use my checks to record all medication. I don't use ATM's nor do I have a slew of credit cards. Nothing has been stolen, Nothing is Lost. It appears that someway or how Wal*Mart has screwed up my check cashing abilities. PLEASE HELP.

whatever was wrong with your check was your own problem. why don't you get out of the stone age and get a debit card. they ask for your ID for your own protection.how would you feel if they didn't for ID and someone stole your check book and forged your signature? it's people like you complaining that you need to feel that your money is secure and not just anybody could get into your money but then you complain about the measures they take to do what you wanted them to do in the first place
