I have been with sprint for a few years now and I have to say I think their rebate department needs to be totally redone or better done away with. I have purchased 3 phones from them totaling over $700 and have had a terrible time getting my rebates. I think Sprint falsely advertises on their rebates.
This last phone I bought was $249.99 purchased on August 16th right from their web site. On the email confirmation I received of the order it states I would get $150 rebate. Sprint keeps sending me emails or rejection postcards that they are rejecting my rebate. First rejected was that I dont have a proper receipt, well the only receipt I got from the online purchase was an email confirmation of the order, no packing slip came with the phone. Second rejection was again no proof of purchase on the phone could sprint not check their own web site purchases and prove I bought the phone, no I had to fax them my credit card bill showing it was paid. Third rejection was I did not purchase the phone from a company that the rebate falls under wow that is original since I bought the phone from their website and it stated I was to get the rebate. Fourth rejection stated you did not send your information in on time I called sprint talked to Karen Vela and supposedly got that one straightened out. Fifth rejection stated again we did not receive purchase price of the product so now I am back to square one. I have talked to 4 representatives at Sprint whom all informed me my rebate information was fine and I would receive my rebate. But as you know that is not true because Sprint keeps sending me rejection excuses and that is all they are. I think sprint lies and they should just lower their prices on their phones and quit the rebate process since they dont honor their rebates any way.
I have begged sprint to take the phone back and credit my credit card for $249.99 price of the phone less taxes and to honor letting me out of my two year agreement with them. I would like them to settle this matter in full and we no longer do business with each other, but sprint will not let me out of the agreement. I can assure you once my agreement is over I am moving on and I will never purchase another phone from this company.
