KFC/ Taco Bell - Osceola, Arkansas

This complaint is in reference to the KFC/Taco Bell located in Osceola, Arkansas. Phone number 870-563-5566. The night manager on duty was, Lee Norsworthy. I was traveling from Mississippi to Wisconsin and stayed overnight in Osceola, AK. I decided to have KFC that night. Big mistake!

Since I was unsure what I wanted, I parked and went inside the restaurant. The place was empty of customers except for myself and another gentleman who was waiting to place his order at the counter. He eventually got his order taken. I stood at that counter for 22 minutes and was ignored. No one even acknowledged me. Not even a pleasant "We will be right with you." There were 4 females working and one young man in the back, cooking chicken and doing a wonderful job of getting it out fast. He had plenty of freshly cooked chicken under the heating lamps to keep it hot. The 3 females ignored each other's plea for assistance and moved at a turtles pace. One said she only helped people that ordered Taco Bell products, so she would not help.

Even though the man in front of me, ordered some burritos to go along with his chicken. It was shortly after I was FINALLY waited on, that another man, who had been in line to go through the Drive Thru, came in and complained about the slow service. Noting he had seen me being ignored for over 20 minutes. He asked to speak to the manager. She came out. By the way, she was not helping out at all and emerged from somewhere in the back. He complained to her he had been outside in line and hadn't even moved up to place an order. He asked for complaint phone numbers and was told that the manager had none, including who owned this particular KFC.

He was livid as I was and got no satisfaction at all. The girl that waited on me was also rude and never said a word except to "huff" when I asked for plastic silverware to eat the food with. It was such a chore for her to throw it into my sack. So, we have an employee in the back doing a fantastic job of getting chicken cooked, 3 female employees, that moved slower than molasses in January with horrible attitudes. One of whom refused to help because she only filled Taco Bell orders, a nasty night manager and except for the chicken fryer, all employees were rude. This gets better.

When I left the restaurant, almost every car that was in line that night when I got there, with the exception of one, was still waiting to place their orders. I should have been in and out in about 5 - 7 minutes tops. When I arrived it was 7:05 and when my order was taken it was 7:41 and I got back to my motel at 8:08. At my motel I preceded to eat. I had ordered a side of baked beans. It cost me and extra $1.25. The "scoop" I got, didn't even cover the bottom of the small container they were put in. I took one bite and threw them in the garbage. They tasted awful. The potatoes and gravy were very cold. The potato salad was good and had a nice flavor and the chicken was tasty and very hot. The man cooking, had done a great job. I don't know if a packet of butter was supposed to be put in the bag for my biscuit. If so, I did not get one.

Service like I and the other customers received that night is unacceptable! The servers were rude, ever so slow, grumpy and NOT co-operative with each other to get the orders filled!!! Everyone of those 3 female servers and also the night manager, should get a good tongue lashing and or be fired. If they hate their jobs that much, then quit and do something else. They are in a service occupation and should respect and act like they are there to please the customers. I could have had a sit down meal for the time I spent there trying to get FAST food. Even here, in Wisconsin Rapids, my family and I have gotten home, only to find that what we paid for was NOT what we got or the order was not complete. Something always missing. As much as I have enjoyed KFC over the past years, it will be a very long time, if ever, that I patronize them again. I'm sure I will never get a response to this letter or be compensated in anyway, but I feel better about finally writing it and having other people read about my experience which took place on October 17, 2004.

My Partner and I went to Taco Bell to eat and I watched as our order was filled first the Girl rubbed under her nose then she began fixing our food..then I watched as she picked up food that had fallen on the metal counter she was using to fix orders and put it back in with the food that had yet to be used..when I received our order I asked the manager to redo my order and told him what I saw that worker doing..he fixed our order then said something to the worker as I walked away with my order..when I sat down I opened my burrito and prepared to put mild sauce on it when I saw what looked like a black piece of meat when I looked closer I realized it was a piece of rotting tomato..there wasn't even suppose to be tomato on my food to begin with..I lost my appetite and we asked for full refund..we wont be back!
