Just bought my first MP3 , went searching for sites to download, and am perfectly willing to pay .99 per song, but found a site that "rates MP3 down load sites". The first review was raving (great sell) about the ease of use and that there literally was not a single piece of music or an artist that was not avaiable. The reveiw enticed me and I visited the site - "unlimited down loads for .99 a month".

What did I have to lose? I was not looking for a "deal", I was looking for a good selection and and easy process, as I am new at this. The "review" site must belong to MP3downloading - it was a complete scam. There is no music to be downloaded, just a lot of links to sites offering the same exact deal. The clincher is that all of the sites offer you a chance to find out more if you enter your name and your email address.

The next page wants to know if you are paying with credit card, ect... I am only out $12 or $13 ( you have the option to pay for 1 year or 2 years at a time -of course!). Frankly, I am surprised that there were no other complaints! Especially, since there seems to be an overwhelming number of these sites. The biggest bummer is that I could not down load a single song. Watch out for this one. There is an excellent site at www.music.msn.com.

It's .99 per song, and I have had great success on that site. The selection for the kind of music I like was limited, that is why I ventured elsewhere. A big tip off for the rip offs, when you see the words "100% LEGAL!" highlighted across the page - RUN!
