I purchased the Lady Mitchum Hydro Solid because I had heard it was a quality deodorant, however, I was not warned of the poor manufacturing. The very first time I used the deodorant, it worked well until I was almost at the end of the stick. When I had almost used the entire stick, the product malfunctioned and I was no longer able to move the deodorant towards the top of the stick.

Figuring this was only a one time fluke, I purchased the deodorant again. This time, I purchased two sticks of the deodorant as they were on sale. The first stick broke off the second time I used it. While using the deodorant, the entire top half fell onto the floor. I was not able to fix the stick so I discarded it and opened the next one.

This time the stick broke into pieces!!! Obviously, I was upset, because I had two sticks of deodorant that were totally useless to me. I looked for a website to complain to no avail. However, there is a number on the back of the product that I will be calling. I just wanted to warn people of the poor manufacturing. It is a good deodorant as long as you can get it on!!! I decided it was no longer worth the hassle...there are comparable products with better manufacturing.

The same thing happened to me about a year ago!!! The hydro solid first broke into pieces and then the entire top half fell off. I called the number listed on the back and never received a response. I've also tried the Smart Solid which is so sticky and gummy it's disgusting. The original Lady Solid is GREAT, but for the past several months (May & June '09), I haven't been able to find it at ANY store. I hope they don't "improve it."
