He checked my machine and said the inlet valve was out of order, and he would be back the next day with a replacement - There has been no response since then, and every time I call them I am told the part is not available

I filed a complaint no. 3415149 with Whirlpool's 24-hour helpline no. 51666333 on 20/10/2004, and a technician came the next day. He checked my machine and said the inlet valve was out of order, and he would be back the next day with a replacement.

 

There has been no response since then, and every time I call them I am told the part is not available, and would be replaced as soon as it is procured. How can a part for a current model washing machine which is under warranty take 10 days to procure in this day and age? I feel cheated by the company's lackadaisical response.
