Steinhausen Watch Company
Items were returned with no response from customer service after many phone calls and emails. Today called customer care and was told they had received the returned merchandise and I would be credited with my refund. My last email was today. Talked to your representative today when I received my letter from you with a account number of P0000909819. Was told they would contact Steinhausen to verify. I am including below a list of events leading up to this email.
Thank you. Alfred R Attn: Supervisor Customer Care. After at least six phone calls and three emails I have not received any acknowledgement of my bank being credited for the refund. For the record, The watches were received on the Ist of October 2004, the ladies watch was defected and would not adjust to fix the time. I called customer care and informed them of the receipt of the defective watch and was told that they would email a Return Authorization (RA)and to return the defective watch. The RA was not sent. Called again Monday the 4th of October and explained the problem, was told a RA would be emailed to me that day. None came. Sent a email informing customer care,no answer.
Called again after 5 days, was told the RA would be mailed that day. It never arrived. Contacted my bank to let them know I was having trouble contacting Customer care, they informed me to write a letter and insure it to the office of customer care. Sent the letter on 8 October and received the green card back that the letter had been received by a Mr.Tom Hengle on 12 October. Did not receive answer to my letter. On 12 October I returned both watches by United Parcel with a copy of the letter inside the box. Still no acknowledgement.
Called the customer care office again and was told they had received the watches and it would take 72 hours before my account would be credited. Today, the 29th of October received a letter from Monterey Financial Services Inc of Carlsbad, California that they were going to start charging my account effective the 5th of November for the sum of $398.00. I called Monterey and explained the situation and was told they would contact Steinhausen Watch Company to verify the return.
I also called Steinhausen customer care and told them of the letter and phone call. I asked to speak with a supervisor at least on three of my calls and every time was told he was at lunch, or not there at and could not talk to him.
The customer care person did verify that the watches had been received and that no charges would be placed on my account, I also informed her that I was also due a refund of $50.00. But based on the lack of service I have received todate I am sending this email for the record. Reference order number 1108780.
