Sears Customer Relations Letter #2 June 24, 2004 Sears National Customer Relations 3333 Beverly Road Hoffman Estates, IL 60179 Ladies and Gentlemen: In my most recent dealings with Sears I've encountered empty promises. I have been placated, to the point of re-examining my previous arguments against Sears & Co., only to discover, miserably, deceit. Disappointingly, I had only to wait a day for you to forfeit your ascent to neutral standing and reinforce my malediction of your company. This second letter I write accounting the drudgery of dealing with the Sears Company can only be understated. I received a call from XXXXXX XXXXXX of Sears Customer Relations on June 22nd in regards to my previous letter. She explained the date the mower was returned to the store was reviewed and found to be within the warranty period. The charges of $210.00 would be wiped clean. I could pick up the repaired mower that very evening. I told her I needed confirmation that the mower was in fact repaired. According to the conversation I had with a company man on June 21st, the unrepaired mower was awaiting pick up. She called me back with confirmation. She assured me the repair work was already done, although without my permission. She informed me of the extended 90 day warranty that goes along with the repair work. My wife brought home the mower this morning. No repairs had been done. She had to wait while the man working in the service bay went to be sure we didn't owe you any money for what you did not do. But at least I still have that 90 day extended warranty. I made a call to Customer Relations today. In my earlier conversation with Ms. XXXXXX, I was given the phone number 1-800-549-4505 along with the Case #795265 to be used if I needed to call back. I did try to give the Case # to the man on the other end, but it seems they have no way of inputing "Case #'s." I have been duped by your company. I am offended by this treatment. Is Sears going to make good on the promises XXXXXX XXXXXX made in your name? An expedited reply would be appreciated.
