Priceline.com - I just want everyone to know that Priceline uses deceptive advertising techniques. I wanted to make reservations for an upscale hotel. The description indicated that the hotel would be similar to a Mariott, Hilton, or Hyatt. Instead, I received a Radisson which was very old and dirty.

I just want everyone to know that Priceline uses deceptive advertising techniques. I wanted to make reservations for an upscale hotel. The description indicated that the hotel would be similar to a Mariott, Hilton, or Hyatt. Instead, I received a Radisson which was very old and dirty.

I immediately called to cancel as I had stayed at this particular hotel before and it definitely was not on the level of a Mariott, Hilton or Hyatt or a level 3 upscale hotel. Customer service basically said tough, we think its clean enough!! To add insult to injury, the average cost of hotel rooms in this category was listed on Priceline as $180+ a night.

I bid it at $99.00 and found out later that the room could be bought direct from the hotel at $129.00 Regardless, I will NEVER use Priceline again. They were VERY unprofessional on the phone, they kept interrupting me citing their contract!!! By the way, I had read the contract but did not believe that the Radisson in this particular city would ever be considered a "3" level which was the highest number offered. This city has Mariott and its affiliates.
