Banfield Pet Hospital / Involving pet amputation Complaint against: Banfield Pet Hospital 10825 N. Tatum Blvd. Phoenix, Az 85028 Phone (480)609-9695
My boyfriend and I had got our puppy only 1 week before she was injured. We new her current state to be healthy. I presented her to Banfield to remove a nail that had been partially ripped out already. They were instructed to do nothing else but remove the nail.
When I came to pick her up, the puppy had a huge bandage that I was told could be taken off the following Monday. The Vet. said she had been very brave through the procedure. So I assumed they had done what was requested. Nope. Monday when the bandage was removed, I found the nail to be exactly how I had taken her in, INJURED. And I had already paid $90.00 for that Vet. to basically bandage the puppy's foot.
I was outraged, not only had my puppy been in pain that entire time, Banfield charges us on that visit for a Deworm package no one ever informed us about, and they still had not done what I brought her in for. We ended up going and getting a second opinion, because Banfield then refused to treat my puppy.
The next Vet said that amputation was necessary to save the paw, due to Banfield's lack of treatment for the puppy. Due to their careless nature, my puppy suffered and will continue to suffer, because of Banfield's medical mistakes.
