I purchased the following on eBay from Atilla Tihnyi, Email User: TASCAM US-224 DAW controller -- like new in the box-- USB Audio/MIDI Computer interface. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/ eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=

3753777786&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT I paid for it through my PayPal account using the buy now feature. The item price was $170. With

shipping and insurance, my payment came to $187.00 When it arrived, it was missing the USB cable. This is a USB device and is therefore unusable

without the cable. I emailed the seller and requested it be sent. He refused stating: > the item description not mention about the USB > cable,

> or any computer store. > thank you > attila Actually if “like new in the box” does not implicitly imply that all of the items that would

be included with a new item should have been included with this, then the fact that the

seller’s description refers to the manufacturers web site for “more info” about the item certainly

Page 6 states: 1.3 What’s in the package The US-224 package contains the following items. When opening the package, please make certain that all the included items are present. If anything is missing, contact the dealer where you purchased it.

_ US-224 Controller

_ USB Cable

_ CD-ROM containing driver software and

Cubasis VST Additionally page 12 states: Use only the enclosed USB cable to connect the US-224 and the computer. Do not use

other types of cable for this purpose, as some cables contain resistors. If you attempt

to use such a cable, the audio input and output will not work properly, and the sound

level will be inaudible or very faint. So what has happened is I have paid $187.00 for a worthless piece of equipment and now must pay

someone else more money to get it to function. Trying to resolve with the seller Atilla Tihnyi,

has failed miserably. Instead of remaining professional, he claims I am “brainless ebayer

don't read description”. I was cheated. I paid for a “TASCAM US-224 DAW controller -- like new in the original box-- near

new condition!!!” and instead have a worthless piece of plastic. I do not feel I should have to

pay again for the missing part when it was included in the price I paid. I do not know if there is a replacement cable available from the manufacturer or not so I am

basically out my $187.00 and sure would like it back. Again, the seller, Atilla Tihnyi refuses to

cooperate in any fashion. =====
