South Florida GI Associates

Hi,

My complaint is about the South Florida GI Associates. This is a warning to those who use their services or those who wish to use their services. Their doctors are not qualified to be medical doctors.

When I first went to their office with my concern, they didn't bother to run any tests to diagnose me, they told me to take an over-the- counter drug and charged me $125 (that was with a 25% discount) and told me to go back to my primary doctor so I did that and from that day on, every time I called their office with my concerns, they would send me to the ER.

Instead of going to the ER, I went to my primary doctor who would tell me that these concerns are not a big problem and every time she was able to help me out. There were times that I would call during their business hours and the receptionist would tell me that she has no doctors in the office today. How is that possible if there are six doctors who work in that office?

There were times when the receptionist would give out medical advice, for example, she would tell me that maybe I should decrease the dosage of my medication, even though I called to ask the DOCTOR about that.

One time I called to speak with the DOCTOR about the diet that I was supposed to be on while I had a condition that he was supposed to treat me for and instead of reaching the doctor, she would be the one giving me this medical advice. Also one time I did listen to them and I did go to the ER for a non emergency condition and paid $2000.

The doctor from the ER indicated on my records that I am supposed to follow up with my doctor within the next 2 days. These records were forwarded to the GI office and they told me that the doctor will contact me within two weeks. I saw their doctor for the first time about three months ago and I have contacted them a total of maybe four times and every time I would receive these bizarre and incredible responses.
