I have included as an attachment the letter I sent last week to NTL customer complaints and the Managing Director and ofcom as I am extremely disappointed in the service from NTL and their follow ups wth my complaints. Everything that has happened is included in the letter. However to briefly cut a long story short: I ordered NTL off a salesman who came to the door, promising me a free trial of 60 days with the top level of broadband and then suggested that at the end i would be able to get 1/2 broadband for a year if i signed up for the talk 24 package. I did as requested.

Signed up with a direct debit for a free trial. As I had just started running my own business this was a welcome gesture to help me cut costs in my overheads. July 13th was the date for engineers to turn up between 8 and 12. No one turned up as they went to a different town completely.

I rang up and complained and was promised compensation for loss of time. At the beginning of september i rang up before my free trial was up to sign up for the 1/2 proce broadband and phone all i got was that the package was not available to me as i had already signed up for the broadband. Later I found out that they had already taken out &#16376.00 of my account causing me to go overdrawn and have bank charges.

They promised to reimburse me the money and after 1 month I am still waiting and they did exactly the same again this month. Causing anothr direct debit to cause me bank charges again. I am already struggling for money without them causing me more problems. I wrote letters but have still had no response. I also rang and asked to speak to a manager and got told no one was in twice. Both times they promised to ring me back and no one did. I am on the verge of taking them to the small claims court and contacting the bbc london to report them to watchdog, as well as all the newspapers. Emma H

HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH TALK 24 I HAVE 13 EMAILS RE THEIR SERVICE I CANCELLED THE DD BUT THE ALTERED THE NO AND TOOK FURTHER PAYMENTS NOT SURE WHAT TO DO BUT THEIR BAD BUSINESS METHODS SHOULD BE SORTED OUT MOVE TO PLUS NET! BILL
