I purchased a 7 year old condominium about a year ago that featured Canac white kitchen cabinets. They were somewhat discolored at the time but in the last year they have turned a putrid yellow shade. I have E-mailed the company and they said that there was only a one year warranty and that my only recourse was to have new doors and drawer fronts installed at a cost of $1000.00.
I think that a large company like this should stand behind their product for a longer period of time than one year. I suppose that I am out of luck but I hope that this letter of complaint will keep unsuspecting buyers from dealing with Canac. I know that I will tell any one who is considering using their product to beware. Knud N

Our cabinets started to yellow after just a few years. We complained to our builder, and we found we were not alone. We found that everyone in the subdivision had the same problem who had the white cabinets. We were told there was nothing they could do, this is something we would have to "live" with, or replace with new doors. Since the cabinet sizes were custom to the Canac cabinets, we refuse to put any additional money into the Canac company. We were also told there was a bad lot of glue used on the cabinets, but there was nothing anyone could do! We are now looking into replacing our cabinets, and Canac is NOT a company we would ever use again!
