Bell Expressvu

Getting away from Bell ExpressVu is almost impossible. I was a customer of Bell ExpressVu for about 3 years, since 2000. After going through about 2 yrs of good service the trouble started. Our service would be interrupted for extended periods of time. Calls went into the 1 888 Sky Dish number endlessly. You might as well call it 1 888 WAS -TE OF TIME. All of a sudden I was getting charged an extra $17.00 on my bill for extra programming. I contacted Bell once again to clear this up.

They said that I had ordered them, which I hadn't. As everyone who's called Bell knows, "this call may be recorded for Quality Control purposes.." This is a bunch of crap by the way, because each poorly trained customer service rep that I spoke with could not produce the recording where I requested these new packages. I continued only paying the portion of the bill that was correct. They continued over billing me for about 6 months. We then moved to a new house which had Rogers cable so we decided to give it a go. We called Bell and asked to go on a 6 month hiatus. After 3 great months of Rogers Cable, I got a bill for $ 150.00 from Bell, which included a $ 50.00 deactivation fee. 1888 Sky Dish and another ignorant customer service rep and after over 45 mins on the phone I learned that Bell had only put us on only a 3 month hiatus and that the $ 50 fee was for .... I'm not sure. So once again I asked Bell to provide me with the recorded message where I asked for only a 3 month hiatus... and they could not provide this. So now two glaring errors on Bell Express Vu's part and now I'm with a collection agency for $76.44. Don't ask me how they arrived at that number, because no one at Bell can figure it out. What I want to know is how does this Bell Express Vu get away with this. If they threaten enough people like this they stand to make a lot of money. But isn't getting money by threatening, illegal. How does anyone truly fight back??? HELP??
