Kitchen Aid Refrigerator / Sears poor Service
My complaint is with the Sears appliance service level in the Anchorage, Alaska area.
I have been trying to get my refrigerator repaired for the past three weeks. I understand that a serviceman will be out today (I've heard this before). This is my 5th appointment. They have called and cancelled 4 other times. Either they are not in my area, the service man is sick or we are too busy and can not get to you.
In 2001 I purchased a complete Kitchen Aid kitchen from Sears. I paid more, but I really thought a big company like Sears could service the appliances better in case of future needed repairs. Man was I wrong. Next time I will buy on PRICE and work with the local appliance repair company.
I have never been run around so much in my life. They have a 1-800 number for their Customer No-Service. You call that number and you get absolutely no help. When you ask to talk to someone local, they tell you no one is available locally (which is a lie). I finally dug around and got a phone number for their local service guy. His name is Joe and he is trying to help, but it seems like his operation is way under staffed for the amount of products needing service in this market.
To say I will NEVER ever buy from Sears again is an understatement. I will go out of my way to encourage anyone I know to buy from ANYONE else, but Sears. I think I am going to walk in their local retail store and when I see someone ready to buy an appliance from them - I am going to tell them what a crappy job they do on servicing your appliance after the sale. I am going to wine so loud it will sound like a jet engine starting up !
When I asked their Customer No-Service to talk to a senior manager, they referred me to Sear's C.E.O.......like he is going to respond to my complaint ? I did send him an email, but I have not received an answer and I do not expect to get one. SEARS simply does not give a crap about you once they have your money.
This is the kind of no-service you would expect from some small jippo outfit, not a national company like Sears. I predict they will not be in business very much longer. They have seen the last of my money.
