I NEVER requested or authorized the credit protector fee on my citbank account. I have a copy of my original application and there are no initials where they ask if I want to sign up for the credit protector service. The monthly charge just appeared out of no where. And no I never cashed one of those $15.00 checks that automatically enrolls you if you don;t cancel within 30 days.

I spoke with Amanda at 1 888 253 3663 (her ID # is TPH1464) on 11/29/04 at 3:35 p.m. to request that the service be cancelled, she said she would cancel it and I would recieved a confirmation in the mail within 7 days.

I spoke with Zack at 1 888 253 3663 on 11/30/04 at 10:08 a.m., I requested to speak with Amanda, he put me on hold to go and find Amber, came back a couple of minutes later and said he had located her but she was at lunch. He did confirm that my request to cancel the credit protector service had been forwarded to the "investigation" department and I would recieve a response within 30 days.

Note: (Not discussed with Zack, I have had other problems with this citiback credit protector in the past, I have cancelled the service, recieved a confirmation number over the phone and then was continued to be billed. This was on acct ending in 1717)

I really do believe this company/service is a SCAM!
