High Tech Pet Products, Ventura California I am writing to post a complaint about High Tech Pet Products in Ventura California. I note there are 3 prior complaints here at Complaints.com. I also note that if you Google "IDEAL pet door", this is the very first "sponsored link" that is displayed. I confess I was lured to use this site by the Google search results AND by their low pricing (but, as is so often true, "you get what you pay for"). I placed an order for a brown super large deluxe pet door on October 5, 2004. HTPP promptly invoiced my credit card on October 6. After contacting HTPP for 1-1/2 months by email, I finally received the wrong door on Nov 22, 2004. I note that the door was not shipped from HTPP - it was FEDEXed to me directly from the manufacturer - IDEAL pet products. Note that I have purchased 3 IDEAL doors in the past - and in my opinion they are the best. It is High Tech Pet Products that is the problem, not IDEAL. I have requested an return authorization and return shipping to return the door for a refund and I have not received any response yet. Based on their (lack of) response so far, and what I have read here at Complaints.com, I am not confident in getting a refund. I regretably will have to pursue a more reliable refund through my credit card company. It is so easy to provide quality service. I simply don't understand how a company can operate so poorly (and still be in business). Avoid this #1 Google search response web site like the plague, and please pass the word to your pet-loving friends - This company is not a reputable and reliable web vendor. Dave A David L.
