Taylor Made Construction Company Consumer Complaint

Taylor Made Construction Company, Edgewood, Maryland This company's sales representative told us that the construction of a room in our basement by Taylor Made Construction Company using the Owens Corning Basement System would be accomplished in 10-14 days. The company was promising us that a team of professional installers would complete the job by Sept. 1, 2004. In fact, Taylor made started the construction on August 23, 2004. The job was not completed until October 30, 2004.

Taylor Made Construction in fact did not have an electrician licensed to work in Frederick County. The construction took 9 weeks to complete. Their plumber and electrician both did not show up on the promised dates. The construction failed the Building Inspection by Frederick County twice. Taylor Made Construction should have notified us that they had no licenses, permits, or experience working in Frederick County, Maryland and that they would not try to satisfy us or our situation.

Because of the delay we experienced numerous occasions of severe stress and eventually financial loss because their cavalier attitude about the whole project caused us to loose thousands of dollars on the sale of our home. Potential customers should be aware that Taylor Made Construction does not care what the contract they sign with a customer is honored or not. They expect their payments on time and we paid $27,000.00 to their company.

Our experience with Taylor Made Construction was totally unsatisfactory and disappointing, particularly the treatment we received. They basically don't care if their customers are satisfied. We will never recommend this company to anyone.

I used to work for Steve Taylor of Taylor Made Construction. Don't believe the hype of the BBB stuff or the "Good Christian" his sales people say. He is a hard nose "sales" person. He owes me over $5,000 as well as hundreds of previous employee's hundreds of thousands of dollars. He's a liar and a thief.
