LOCATION - NAGPUR, INDIA DEAR SIRS, I MUST CONGRATULATE LG FOR SELLING HEADACHE TO WE INDIAN CUSTOMERS. I PURCHASED ONE TELEVISION SET, MODEL - RF21FD20VE ON 24/10/04 FROM LG SHOW ROOM, NAGPUR. NAME OF THE DEALER IS JAINAM LG SOPPEE.WE FEEL THAT A DEFECTIVE PIECE WAS SUPPLIED TO US WE ARE CHEATED BY LG. THE SERIAL NO. IS CK5-409 LP 18431-IN. WITHIN TWO/THREE DAYS, LARGE COLOUR PATCHES STARTED ON THE SCREEN AND ON OUR COMPLAIN, THE SERVICE ENGINEER CAME BUT THAT TIME, HE TOLD US THAT THERE IS NO DEFECT BECAUSE THERE WERE NO PATCHES. THE PATCHES WERE REGULARLY OBSERVED BY US AT DIFFERENT INTERVALS WE APPROACHED THE DEALER FOR REPLACINMG THE SET. THE DEALER TOLD US THAT THEY CAN NOT DO ANY THING AND WE HAVE TO GET IN TOUCH WITH LG. WE INFORMED ABOUT IT TO LG ON 27/11 AND THE SERVICE ENGINEER VISITED US TODAY. HE SAYS THAT THERE MIGHT BE SOME LOOSE CONNECTION INJSIDE AND HE HAS TO OPEN THE SET. WE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN ANY SHORT OF REPAIR BECAUSE WE HAVE PAID HARD EARNED MONEY FOR A DEFECT FREE SET AND NOT FOR ANY DEFECTIVE PIECE. I REQUEST YOU TO PLEASE IMMIDIATELY ARRANGE FOR THE REPLACEMENT FAILING WHICH I WILL TAKE THE FOLLOWING ACTION. 1 I WILL GO TO CONSUMER FORUM. 2 I WILL PUBLISH ABOUT IT IN THE NEWS PAPER. LG MUST REALISE THAT THEY CANNOT FORCE THE CUSTOMER TO ACCEPT THE DEFECTIVE PIECE I AM NOT COMPLAINING FOR FUN. IF THE PIECE IS PERFRMING WELL THEN WHY SHOULD I WASTE MY ENERGY AND TIME IN COMPLAING. IN CASE, EVEN AFTER THIS, NO ACTION IS TAKEN, THEN I WILL INVITE MEDIA PERSON AND NEWS PAPERS AND WILL THROUGH THE SET FROM MY THIRD FLOOR RESIDENCE IN FRONT OF THEM. K.K.
