I purchased the Sony Cybershot DSC-P73 4.1MP Digital Camera last night in store after seeing it on sale online and seeing that it was available in the store closest to me. I went in right away as I liked

the reviews on the model and it met the standards of what I wanted in an upgrade of a digital camera. While there, and after looking at a few other cameras and the cost of the memory cards for the camera, the sales person did not inform us that we were supposed to receive Sony LCSCFR Digital Camera Case for free which is valued at $49.99 and she also did not inform us that we had the option of:

Through purchasing this digital camera. She also simply asked us at the end of the sale if we wanted a case and I said no. As it sounded like another sales pitch on her part. Needless to say, we bought the

camera.

 

 

While reading up more on this camera on the Future Shop website, I seen the link which specified "See Special Offers On This Product" so I read through it, and that's when I learned that I didn't get

everything I was entitled to get by purchasing this camera at this time. My husband then called in store where he spoke to a sale man who asked if it was a big or small box that we got when we bought the

camera. He said he didn't see any cases lying around. But told us to come in store and talk to somebody and we would get one. We live 20 minutes from the store and have a 5 month old baby. So we again, bundled her up and drove in.

 

Where the first sales person from the Communications department said for us to leave our name and phone number and they would call us when they got a case in. I informed him that we just drove from another town just to leave our name and phone number, when they could have asked us for it over the phone and told us they would have called us. His response was arrogant, more or less saying that's all they can do. I asked to speak to a supervisor where I again, explained the situation and by this point, I was very upset.

 

The supervisor didn't have a much better aproach. So after agreeing to leave my name and phone number, he walked away. So we stood there, waiting. Where another sales person came alone. I explained to her I was very upset and why. She looked around for the case we were supposed to get, and asked another sales person what to do. The other sales person told her just to give us a Roots case which was $14.99. That's a $35 value difference. And I didn't accept it. She didn't hide her frustration when I wouldn't agree, rather that I would just leave my name and phone number. I wasn't accepting something less then I was entitled to after spending over $300 when I could have done a price match at %150 at Staples and saved about $100 on this camera.

 

So along came the supervisor again and I told him I wanted to leave my name and number and get the case I was supposed to get when it came in. None of the sales people we dealt with through this ordeal showed very good customer service. But at least the the sales person who offered us a

different bag tried to do something, which is more then I can say for the rest of the sales people we dealt with. This is not the first time I've had a bad experience with Future Shop and I can't say I've heard terrific opinions on it elsewhere. I am never again purchasing from Future Shop, and will not ever

recommend it to anybody again. My husband and I spend a fair amount on technology and we are taking our business elsewhere. This is no way to run a business. Jody S
