DVD Video Digital Surround System from Target, in St. Peters Mo

We purchased a DVD Video Digital Surround System from Target, in St. Peters Mo. The unit was missing the remote control when we opened the box. It was the last system in stock at Target and we were told that Magnavox would ship us a remote.

We have called the 800# for Magnavox several times. The first time they said that it would not be a problem and they would send a remote. Each time after that they tell us that the remote has been shipped or released to ship. They tell us that it has either shipped a couple of days before our call or it will ship tomorrow.

Each time they are unable to give us shipping information. The 800# goes to the Philippines. There is no local service number to call. Their website says it's under construction. They sell equipment

and lie to you when you need help. This will be the last Magnavox / Phillips product we buy.
