I went in on UHaul.com to make a reservation to rent a truck. They want a $5.00 non refundable "service fee", however when you make your reservation they cant tell you at what location you can pickup your equipment until that day. What is the purpose of this fee?

I called their so called customer service line and was told they were very busy and this is a normal fee that would put me on a standby list, I asked if nothing became available then would I get my $5.00 back, she said no.

I have NEVER heard of such a thing, its not that amount that makes me mad but it is the principle,UHaul is wrong for doing this.

SO I wait for them to call me and they tell me where to pickup the truck, so on top of that they can send me anywhere and dont forget you do pay by the mile!

What a way to rip off customers! I would definately check other sources before renting from UHaul.
