On 3/29/04 I purchased a web site from the pelican-designs.com. I have been lied to, ignored and scammed. They took my money, but, did not deliver a product. I purchased a cash casino web site. They delivered a site with old templates that do not work. Each time I told them that you could not join this site they told me that they checked it and it is working properly.

I called the 800 number listed on the site and was told that pelican-designs is not an affiliate of theirs. After checking my site they told me that these templates are very old and will never work. I spent from 3/29/04 thru 4/10/04 trying to have this site made operable. Since then they have not responded to any of my email requests for service except to say that emailing the same problem repeatedly only makes their job harder.

They did not address the problem listed in the emails. And that was on 4/15/04. Their sales copy of this site makes all sorts of claims that just are not true. When you click on the details button, to see what you get if you purchase this site, they lead you to believe that if you purchase this site you will receive free hosting forever, will not have any other costs, that you will be given a new domain name at no charge, that you will receive free customer support, but in reality you do not get any of this. Do you know how they lead you to believe these things?

They have it written in plain English right on this details page. After the sale I was told I would have to purchase a domain name (the domain name at no charge didn't apply to this site, I was told.), that I would have to purchase a hosting plan (The free hosting didn't apply to this site, I was told.) Keep in mind that all these free things are written on the details page for this site.

I copied this sentence directly from the details page of cash casino as listed on the home page of Pelican-Designs.com "You do not need your own server or hosting account. Your website will be hosted on our premium dedicated servers for free forever". I had to purchase a hosting plan.

I do not have a web site today, 5/05/04, even though I purchased one from pelican designs on 3/29/04. I also purchased a hosting account and domain name registration from them. A WHOIS search revealed that I am not the registrant of the domain name I paid for.

I filed a complaint with the Internet Fraud Complaint Center (FBI).
