I bought an e-machine from Future Sop in Winnipeg, and had the computer for only a month before it needed to go in for repairs. The buttons used to turn the computer on and off fell off. Needless to say the computer was useless, stuck in the off position.

I took the computer in, along with all the papers, including those for extended coverage. I was told that the instore repair shop didn't acutally repair things and that it would take them three days to send it three blocks away to where they contract out work.

I drove the computer there myself, to save time. They took my computer completely apart, and told my to come back in three days and it would be ready to go.

I came back in the three days and the computer was still sitting in pieces. They told me that future shop knew that they couldn't fix e-machines, and they weren't able to even put it back together. They said that they didn't realise that it was an e-machine until they took it apart.

Needless to say I know had a computer that Future shop wouldn't even touch, due to the shambles it was in.

It took me four months, threats of legal action and seven phone calls a day to various places (the store, the repair shop, head office--each called twice and the store three times) just to get future shop to replace a computer that they wouldn't fix.

I will never shop at any Future Shop again. I have never been treated so ignorantly in my entire life.
