McAfee HAWK feature
I purchased McAfee's Professional VirusScan 7.0 last August. It took me several days to get it loaded on my system. For the last month I have been unable to send my children or my mother pictures (jpeg format).
It seems that when I send the attachments to multiple (or lately single) addressee's, the HAWK program deletes the attachments even though I request to "send anyway".
The Outlook Express or the ISP breaks the large file down into segments to transmit and allows the segments to be restored because the header of each segment is almost identical. The HAWK program considers this to be indicative of a virus and interrupts the files. My recipients cannot receive the pictures.
Also, when I accessed the McAfee Support Email system, they allow you to fill out a form but do not provide a means to send it! How stupid can they get!
I have worked with computers since 1968 and do not think this is very professional.
