This is an update of my complaint. After filing a claim through the small claim court in Fremont, I was granted the judgement of $2,109 by the judge. $1,238 is for the full refund of my deposit, the balance is for repair of the wall and removal of the cabinet unit. I am happy with the judgement and would like to encourage the readers to do so. The process was very simple and easy.
Regards.

RE: Closet World, San Carlos, CA Poor workmanship, wall unit cabinet was made wrong and installed wrong after 5 visits. I have a contract with Closet World of San Carlos to install a wall unit in my house in Fremont. Each time they sent an installer to do the job, it will take between 3-8 hours. The house is in a big mess after they leave. Each time they come, theres a problem with the cabinet dimensions. It is either made wrong or it does not fit. The General Manager, Trevor McConnell came to see the cabinet and he concurred it was poor workmanship and the wall unit was installed wrong.
That was their 4th trip to my house. He told me the entire unit has to be removed and replaced with a brand new unit. He spent an hour and took down some dimensions. However, when the installers came back three weeks later, the unit is still made wrong. They spent three hours working on it and eventually they stopped. They just cant install because the dimensions wont fit. I have sent a letter to Trevor and told him I would like to terminate the contract. After 5 visits, they still cant make it right. I am running out of patience and weve spent too much time accommodating them. Ive asked him to refund the deposit of $1,238.00 but he refused. Ive filed with the local small claim court for the deposit and a property damage of $800.00. The wall unit is still in the house uninstalled. The court case is scheduled for July 28. Ive shared the feeling as Mike Laverty. This company is very irresponsible and all they want is for you to pay them. They dont care about the quality of work and how satisfied is the customer. In fact, their sales lady had promised everything you would want to hear but they dont deliver them. Their installers were complaining to us they dont get pay. They said they are on contract basis, if the job is not done, they will not be paid. I am looking forward to the court case so I can expose their unprofessional business ethic in the court. I have also complained to KRON4 news in SF. They advised me to file the suit through small claim court. Regards. Victor L Victor L
