To Whom It May Concern:

I bought this Presario Laptop 3015US from Costco in Jan 2003 for about $2000.00.

This laptop was prone to over heat from the moment I took it home.

This laptop is now diagnosed “system board failure” and need replacement for $500.00 + labor.

Compaq warranty will not cover, since it’s 4 months over the 12 months warranty.

I should have known better, since I worked as a repair specialist in the RMA Dept. for 5 years.

Compaq is known to have a higher than average TOC “Total cost of ownership”. Even upgrading to a newer OS will require you to buy Compaq package which has nothing important but the needed driver for the new OS.

I will never buy or recommend someone to buy a Compaq. Sincerely,
