Quality Nissan of Temecula, CA
Below is a copy of the letter I'm sending to the General Manager and the Service Manager at Quality Nissan in Temecula, CA. I have a hard time believing this is going on at a reputable(?) dealership. Any suggestions on any further action I can take would be appreciated.
Sirs: May 1, 2004 This has been the worst experience we've ever had. My '88 Nissan truck was towed in April 20 for a leaking head gasket. We were given an estimate of $1,000 for the repair. A few days later we were told "bad news" it needs a new cylinder head, then a few days later, more "bad news" we also need to replace the radiator, the next "bad news" was it now needs a water pump .
I called and left a message which was not returned and then the final blow was the day Dana called to say they had put on the wrong size cylinder head - it was leaking and they would have to order a new one so it wouldn't be ready till May 5.
If this is not taken care of properly and gotten back to the original estimate I will make every contact possible to let it be known we have been "ripped off". Ever hear the old saying - "The best advertisement is a satisfied customer"? This is one very unhappy customer!! Robert K Pat
