2002 Ford Explorer - started to see peeling and dulling of the black protective coating on all of the door panels

2002 Ford Explorer

We purchased a used 2002 Ford Explorer in January of this year from Chino Hills Ford, Chino Hills, California. In April, we started to see peeling and dulling of the black protective coating on all of the door panels. We were told by the factory rep that this was caused by us exposing the panels to "a Chemical". We have seen this peeling on other newer Explorers. Please write if you too have this problem. Thanks

I also have a 2002 Ford Explorer and the clear coating is coming off of It as well. Bad clear coat on all Explorers manifacture in 2002

AND

If you haven't yet, you will have to have the rear end repaired as well That will hit you if it hasn't already.

About $3000.00 to repair

when I had mine fixed there was 10 other 2002 Explores behind me with the same problem.
