I too have a complaint about the Regis Hair Salon located in the Wal-Mart in Odessa, TX. I went in on a Saturday afternoon, realizing that they would probably be busy but nonetheless I was desperate for a hair cut. I arrived at 3:05 pm to find only one stylist on duty. When I ask her if she was working alone on a Saturday afternoon she replied, no but I dont know where David is ( I presumed that was another stylist???).
After an hour the other stylist returned but began "cleaning" up the salon instead of taking one of the many customers waiting to be served. He finally ask me if I was waiting for a haircut (duh?), when I replied yes he told me to get in the chair. After sitting down he said- oh you didnt want your hair washed too did you? I said well yes it is included in the price isnt it? He said yeah but there are alot of people waiting. Like that was my fault?
After washing my hair he ask what type of cut I wanted. I told him that I wanted the same cut that I currently have just trimmed (I had a chin lenght page boy type cut). He turned my chair where I could not watch him as he cut my hair but I could see by the amount of hair that was falling that he was cutting way too much off. When I mentioned this he said no he was just trimming, then proceeded to ask me if I wanted it below my ears.....now since when is your chin above your ears????
He then ask me if I wanted it dryed and styled too, I replied yes since I was going to be doing some shopping and going out to dinner afterward. He dried my hair and began to use a curling iron all over my head. I commented that I never curl my hair and that I do not care for "poofy" hair. He said oh it will look great! When he finally turned me around where I could see what he had done I was horrified! My hair is cut so short and was curled all over my head! The back is cut at my neck line and the top is so short that a 1/2 inch curling iron won't go around it!
I was so furious I didnt even let him finish combing out all the curls he had put in with the curling iron. I just got up out of the chair and started asking him how this remotely resembled a page boy??? When I complained to him that it was too short his comment was......oh well at least it will grow back! I refused to let him finish the mess he had started. He told me....well I guess you wont be paying will you!
When I saw the sign behind the counter with a customer service number on it I ask him to step over so that I could write it down. He said I cant believe you are going to call them after it taking me so long to do your hair. I replied, oh yes I am gonna call them the minute I walk out of here! Which I promptly did, of course I got a message telling me that the customer service department was closed and would be open on Monday at 8:30 am central time. It is now 10:30 am and I have left 4 messages thus far and have yet to be able to speak to someone regarding this matter. Evidently the customer service department is handled like the Regis Salons....incompetently!
Will I ever go to another Regis Salon....not in this life time!
